Limestone Fire Protection District is a combination (paid/volunteer) department and has grown to
include three fire stations which are supplied with state-of-the-art equipment that exceeds that of many city fire departments. Using a wireless, repeater-based paging system, responders are notified of all calls by our 24 hour dispatchers.
We respond to structure fires, wildland/grass fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, hazardous
materials incidents and service calls. The District is funded primarily through property taxes; however, the District also receives subsidies through local, state, tribal, and federal grants.
Presently we have an
ISO rating of Class 7.
