Firefighters attended rope rescue training class

Six Limestone firefighters attended rope rescue training course May 1st and 2nd. This was one of 16 different courses class put on by the Tulsa Fire Department in partnership with the Council on Fire Training (COFT), Oklahoma State Firefighters Association (OSFA), Oklahoma State University Fire Service Training (OSU-FST), and Tulsa Community College (TCC). A day and half was spent at Chandler Park learning the selection of rope rescue equipment and use, knots, single point anchors, fixed rope systems, construction and operation of belay systems, rappelling, and system safety checks.
